Men in the UK will be able to buy Viagra over the counter after consulting with a pharmacist and without a prescription for the first time today.
The new drug for Erectile Dysfunction is being sold in a savings of up to £1 per month and is expected to be in the West Country over the next few months.
The move comes with a high risk of running into rare but serious side effects, which will be discussed with the pharmacist.

Dr NickRoad will walk in as a pharmacist and discuss this option with the patient and the pharmacist should be able to be of assistance if needed.
This is the first time that the NHS is available to patients with erectile dysfunction and it is hoped that the move will assist with raising awareness of sexual health.
However, there are concerns that this could also lead to men being unable to get or keep an erection suitable for sexual activity.
Dr NickRoad said: “This could be particularly a problem for men who make more than one sexual experience with their partner, particularly those who may be unable to make it to the moment of sexual intercourse.
“Men who make more than one sexual experience with their partner are potentially at increased risk of erectile dysfunction and it is anticipated that this will further contribute to this, particularly for those who may have difficulty making it to the moment of sexual intercourse.
“Our hope is that this will assist with raising awareness of sexual health and encouraging more men to seek help if they experience difficulties making an erection suitable for sexual activity.

Professor Mark McVicrey, from the University of Edinburgh, said: “It is important to recognise that erectile dysfunction can be a marker for developing other health conditions, particularly Alzheimer’s disease and type 2 diabetes, which are the most common causes of dementia.”
Professor McVicrey added: “These conditions are more prevalent in men aged 65 and older with low-risk sexual activity. This could potentially lead to conditions such as erectile dysfunction and related conditions.

The move comes after a study published in the journal JAMA concluded that there was a need to develop a simple, effective and affordable drug that could help men with erectile dysfunction get and keep an erection suitable for sexual activity.
Dr NickRoad said: “Men who make more than one sexual experience with their partner, particularly those who may be unable to make it to the moment of sexual intercourse should be aware of the potential risks and institute appropriate medical management.
Dr NickRoad added: “These changes could help to raise awareness of sexual health and encourage more men to seek help if they experience difficulties making an erection suitable for sexual activity.
Dr NickRoad said: “Erectile dysfunction is a common condition that can be a source of sexual difficulties in a range of ways, including by increasing blood flow to the penis or by causing erections when made too soon.
Viagra 50mg tablet contains an active component such as Sildenafil. This medication is used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in men. It contains the active ingredient sildenafil citrate, which belongs to a class of drugs called phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitors. It increases blood flow to the penis during sexual stimulation, which helps men achieve and maintain an erection. Viagra may have side effects, including headache, flushing, dizziness, upset stomach, nasal congestion, and vision changes. It should not be taken with certain medications or conditions, so it's crucial to consult a healthcare professional before using it. Erectile dysfunction can have a profound impact on a man's self-esteem and quality of life. By addressing ED, this medication can help improve a person's sense of well-being and overall happiness.
Individuals with a history of cardiovascular diseases, such as heart problems (angina, heart failure, irregular heartbeats) or recent heart attack, should exercise caution when using Viagra. The sexual activity itself can strain the heart and can further increase the strain by increasing blood flow. Consult with a healthcare professional to assess the risks and benefits in such cases. This medication can cause a mild decrease in blood pressure. Caution is advised for individuals with low blood pressure or those taking medications that lower blood pressure, as combining these can lead to potentially harmful interactions. People with severe liver or kidney disease may experience slower elimination of Viagra from the body, leading to a prolonged effect. Dosage adjustments may be necessary in such cases.
What is erectile dysfunction?Erectile dysfunction (ED) is a condition where a man is unable to achieve or maintain a hard, sustained erection sufficient for sexual activity. It can be caused by various factors, including physical, psychological, or a combination of both. People with diabetes, high blood pressure, or high cholesterol can also experience ED. A comprehensive evaluation can prove crucial. The main culprits are listed below.
When to use ViagraViagra can be taken with or without food. What you should do is check the label on the dose and duration of treatment with your doctor. It's crucial to take Viagra at least 2 hours before or 6 hours after taking nitrates (e.g., nitroglycerin, barbiturates, others).
Is there improvement? The effectiveness of Viagra in improving erections has been established in some clinical trials. However, it is not guarantee that Viagra remains effective for as long as you want. It's essential to consult your doctor before taking Viagra if you have any of these conditions:
While Viagra is not recommended for individuals under 18, it can be prescribed for life if prescribed by a doctor. In recent years, the number of men seeking Viagra has skyrocketed. Men who have found it hard to find an alternative to Viagra has increased in the past year. In April, a study revealed that only about a third of men who were prescribed Viagra were seeking it out.
The study, published in the journal
, tested the efficacy of two different erectile dysfunction drugs, Viagra and Cialis, and found that these drugs were equally effective, but they did not work for all men.
The study, which took place in the United Kingdom, analysed data collected from the Men’s Health Initiative (SHI) database, which is a major database for health information, to determine whether these drugs were effective, but were not as effective as Viagra, and if they were effective they were not as effective as Cialis.
Viagra was the drug of choice in the study because it works well for men with erectile dysfunction, and Cialis is an effective drug for some men with this condition. However, men who have difficulty with achieving or maintaining an erection should take Viagra. The study found that men who had a history of priapism or other heart problems should not take Viagra, although Viagra can work for some men who have heart disease. Men who had a recent stroke or an attack of angina or coronary artery disease should not take Viagra.
Cialis, which is taken as a tablet, works well for most men. It can be effective for some men, and is usually taken one hour before sex. Men who have difficulty getting or maintaining an erection will often take Cialis. A study in the United Kingdom has found that most men who have an erection are not recommended to take Cialis.
Other Viagra brands available in the UK include Revatio, Zydena, Levitra, and Levitra Connect.
In the study, Viagra was more effective than Cialis, but men who took a higher dose of Viagra were more likely to have a stronger erection. Cialis can also work for some men who have difficulty achieving or maintaining an erection, such as those who have heart disease, or who take certain medications for depression. In addition, some men who are already taking a nitrate drug may not be eligible for Cialis, which can cause a sudden drop in blood pressure.
Men who have low blood pressure and other heart conditions, or who have had heart disease or are taking other medications that cause heart disease, should talk to their doctor before taking Viagra. Men who are taking certain medications for depression or anxiety should talk to their doctor before taking Viagra. A study in the UK found that Viagra was effective for some men, but not for others.
Other Viagra brands available in the UK include Revatio, Zydena, Levitra, Levitra Connect, Cialis, and Prostaglandin E1. In the study, Cialis was also effective, but men who took Viagra were less likely to have a stronger erection, which may be a sign that the drug is not as effective as Cialis.
A study in the United States looked at the effectiveness of Viagra, and found that men who took Viagra were more likely to have erections, but also more likely to have symptoms of an enlarged prostate or urinary problems. In addition, men who took Cialis were less likely to have erections, but also more likely to have symptoms of an enlarged prostate or urinary problems.
The men taking Viagra were more likely to be prescribed Cialis, but men who took Cialis had the same degree of effectiveness as the men who had Viagra, and had the same degree of effectiveness as Viagra. They were also more likely to be prescribed Cialis, but not Viagra. They were also less likely to be prescribed Cialis, and were less likely to have an erection.
In the study, men who took Viagra were more likely to have erections, but also more likely to have symptoms of an enlarged prostate or urinary problems.
